Client Accounting Services Team

The Client Accounting Services Lead role is that of a dedicated professional with a wealth of accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and experience. This role is responsible for advising on best practices and financial reporting, training in accounting and bookkeeping processes, overseeing other members of the Client Accounting Services Team, and performing accounting and bookkeeping procedures accurately and efficiently. This role is available with a regular, full-time schedule; or, if desired, a part-time schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Essential Duties

• Communicating effectively with clients
• Review of client financial statements prepared by other team members
• Train clients and staff on software and assist with clients’ questions
• Full general ledger accounting and financial statement reporting for multiple clients
• Preparing financial statements and reports, including balance sheet and profit and loss statement, with a focus on accrual basis of accounting
• Payroll administration and reporting
• Summarizing and analyzing account data and trends
• Assist in the preparation and providing of workpapers to outside auditors
• Oversee the preparation and filing of 1099 forms
• Sales and Use tax reporting
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred, or work experience (3 years minimum)
• Advanced experience with accrual accounting, full-charge bookkeeping, and non-profit accounting
• Excellent skill level with various accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Advanced level with MS Office tools, such as Word and Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat
• Highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional capabilities in planning, problem solving, and conducting research
• Strong time management and prioritizing skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to engage well with partners, team members, and clients
• Skilled at working with multiple deliverables, projects, and clients in a deadline driven industry
