Biography
Brian Falk, CPA is a manager and member of the firm’s nonprofit team. Since joining the firm in 2012, he has focused on nonprofit audit, while also providing tax and consulting services to individuals and businesses on occasion. He is a leader in recruiting and mentoring co-workers at the firm. Brian’s areas of concentration include:
- Nonprofit audit, review and compilations with a large concentration of audits subject to Federal Uniform Guidance and state auditing standards
- Preparation of the form 990 and state tax returns
- Charitable organizations and associations
- Charter, Choice and Partnership schools
- Agreed-upon-procedures and audits of or charter, MPS Non- Instrumentality Charter and Choice schools
- Nonprofit consultation – start-up, technology, best practices in internal controls and policies
- Financial operations analysis, helping nonprofits operate more efficiently and effectively
- Technical assistance with fiscal policies and procedures
- Knowledgeable of GAAS, GAGAS and GAAP audits standards
- Leads and coordinates the new hire audit training program
- Mentors young professionals through the RitzHolman Coaching Program
