Biography:
Adam Updike is a Manager and member of the firm’s tax team. Adam has over 5 years of experience in a fiduciary tax environment and 10 seasons of tax experience. Since rejoining the firm in 2021, he has focused on providing accounting and tax services to individuals, trusts and estates. Adam concentrates his practice on:
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns on behalf of clients
- Preparing tax returns, payments, and reports for individuals, trusts, and estates
- Finding tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Providing assistance with federal and state tax notices
- Making sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations
- Creating tax projections
- Reviewing returns prepared by tax staff
- Performing tax research, staying up to date with professional continuing education
- Establishing relationships and building trust with clients
- Leading training, staff development and process improvement for the tax department
